Where to run in Kyoto

The Kyoto imperial palace is surrounded by a vast garden, open to the public, measuring almost one and a half kilometer (long side) by one kilometer (short side) and it is ideal to walk or run. The gate, called Suzaku-mon is located near the Nijo train station. Until 1869 the palace was home to the Emperor. Today is a popular touristic location.
