CAMBODIA — 2024-12-01 — Angkor Wat. "Angkor Wat International Half Marathon". From the beginning, this internationally recognized half marathon raised relief for the victims of antipersonnel mines in Cambodia. With the support of many Japanese running enthusiasts, the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon NGO started the race in 1996, with participants from all over the world. Attended by many landmine victims, this great international race takes place inside the ruins of Angkor Wat, the World Heritage Site, and has been held annually to give the victims encouragement and hope as well as appealing to the world for support the ban on the use of anti-personnel mines. www.cambodia-events.org

The Run Barbados unique route takes participants on a scenic journey through the east coast of Barbados. The friendly local culture, the sheer beauty of the island and the marathon’s course that is both scenic and historic. 2024 will mark 41 years of the Run Barbados Marathon and this year the event will be held from December 6th-8th to offer a unique 3-Day Experience. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NORTH CAROLINA — 2024-12-07 — Wilmington. "Wilmington Historic Half, 10K & 5K". The 7th Annual Wilmington Historic Half Marathon, 10K & 5K will take place on Saturday December 7th, 2024. Starting in the heart of downtown, runners will take a beautiful, closed course through the streets as they see the true southern beauty in Historic Wilmington, North Carolina. After 2.5 miles of downtown running, the 5K splits off to the boardwalk to finish while the Half Marathon will continue straight over 3 bridges and around a scenic lake before finishing down one of the nation's top-rated boardwalks! The 10K splits after the third bridge and heads down the boardwalk to the finish line! Packet Pick-Up: We are thrilled to announce Lumina on Wrightsville Beach as our Expo and Hotel Sponsor! Join us from 2-6pm on Friday 12/1 at Lumina on Wrightsville Beach (1706 N. Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480) to grab your packet and check out our local vendors! Lodging: Lumina on Wrightsville Beach is also offering a block of rooms for our runners at an incredible rate. Start Times: 7:00am 5K; 7:30am 10K; 7:45am Half Marathon (No Late Starts). Half Marathon start is right next to the 5K finish. Parking: There are over 10,000 public parking spots in Downtown Wilmington. (Don't park along the race route or if there is a covered meter or sign.) Start Line: The start line will be located in the new Riverfront Park (10 Cowan St, Wilmington, NC 28401) Finish Line: You can plan on a good time at our Finish Line After Party! Race Bash is bringing all the fun and even some surprises... you don't want to miss it! Hosted at Riverfront Park, the after-party includes beer from Wrightsville Beach Brewery & Poor Piggy's BBQ (you will have voucher tabs on your bib for these). Beverage sales and the after-party will be over at 11:30am. See you there!! Awards: Every participant will earn a finisher medal! Course Information: All 3 courses are certified and sanctioned. The time limit for the 5K is 90 minutes and 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon. If you are interested in completing the Historic Challenge you must be able to complete your 5K in under 45 minutes or less and make your way back to the Starting Line by 7:45am. (There will be NO late starts for the Half Marathon). No one without a bib is allowed on the course at any time. No dogs, companion bikes, scooters, rollerblades or motorbikes are allowed on course. The 26.2 mile marathon course begins at the football field at the bottom of the peninsula, goes through Placencia Village, Seine Bight Village, and Maya Beach, with multiple views of the Caribbean Sea along the way. If like many other runners from the north of Europe you are searching for a great winter escape and a race set in a beautiful location then Maratón Málaga may be what you are looking for. This annual road running event is held in December in the city of Málaga, Spain, the capital of Costa del Sol. The relatively flat course of Malaga marathon will take you through some of the most beautiful parts of the city. You will run near the Alcazaba Moorish fortress from the Islamic era, the Roman Theatre or Castillo de Gibralfaro. All those places and many others, like the amazing and lively city market - Ataranzas Market - are worth visiting before or after you run the marathon in Malaga.
