By Bob Birch - Location: A1A at Deerfield Beach, Municipal Pavillion just above the pier. Hillsboro Boulevard east to A1A, turn north on A1A and look for the pavillion about half mile above Hillsboro. Distance: your choice, the course is out-and-back. Running to the north end of Spanish River Park and back would yield about 15 kilometers. Surface: walking/running path along A1A, asphalt. Problem in some areas where the path is not flat. Safety: heavily traveled.
