Located at the north end of Lake Washington in Kenmore, in an area once used by Native Americans to fish, Saint Edward State Park is a 316-acre day-use park with 3,000 feet of freshwater shoreline on Lake Washington. The park offers many trails for runners and walkers, and hosts the last undeveloped waterfront along Lake Washington's shore. Bald eagles, otters and other animals may be viewed along the 3/4-mile natural portion of the perimeter and running here is a beautiful and very relaxing experience. Originally a seminary for the Sulpician Order of Catholic Priests, the majestic building - donated in 1978 along with the surrounding area to the State of Washington - greets those arriving at the park. Trails are open to foot traffic only (no cyclists).
