Madison

The Turville Point Conservation Park owes its name to Henry and Mary Turvill that came to Madison from England in 1850. It has 3 miles of great paths along the shores of Lake Monona, a short walk from downtown, that are great for running and walking. Oak trees provide shade in the summer and a large prairie adds to the diversity of the park, which was formerly an open savanna during the period that Native Americans were living here. Restrooms can be found in the adjacent Olin Park.
